EXILED WEATHERMAN
Orban Zsombor, passionate about exploration and meteorology likes to travel to the wildest areas with the most extreme temperatures on the planet. e-Mongol for many years has helped him prepare and provided support for his various solo winter expeditions in total autonomy.
AGUIIN SARLAGOOD EXPEDITION
(Cave Yaks)
The Aguiin Sarlagood expedition ("the Yaks of the Caves") aimed to research and study the Mongolian caves.
This expedition sponsored by the French Federation of Speleology, if it did not lead to a discovery as spectacular as that made by the association "Centre Terre" in 2001, made it possible to specify the geological nature of the regions studied and to augur future explorations, with the support of e-Mongol
STEPPES CRUISES EXPEDITION
The European Society of Explorers, under the aegis of the French National Assembly and with the participation of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia led in July 2005 an expedition to study the petroglyphs of the 'Mongolian Altai in order to draw up an inventory of their condition with a view to assisting in their preservation.
e-Mongol ensured the local preparation and the logistics of this multidisciplinary expedition, and is proud to have contributed to the knowledge of a unique heritage which remains to be preserved.
RAID BORDEAUX - SHANGHAI 2004
After a long preparation, the Bordeaux-Shanghai raid allowed its participants to travel the longest land route from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The crossing of Mongolia prepared and guided by e-Mongol was the culmination of the cultural discoveries and the technical challenge.
USHUAIA 2003
e-Mongol modestly participated in the filming of the program dedicated to Mongolia in September 2003, in Hustai Park and the Orkhon Valley. Thanks to Remy for allowing us to join the team and meet Nicolas Hulot.
CENTER EARTH EXPEDITION 2001
The French speleology association Center Terre, with the support of e-Mongol, organized a prospecting expedition in the region of Lake Khovsgol which led to the discovery of the largest and deepest known cave in Mongolia, and opens the prospect of new discoveries.
SHAMANISM STUDIES
Professor Citron from the University of Haifa led an expedition to study du shamanism in modern Mongolia for 2 months from the South Gobi to the Tsaatans reindeer herders in the taiga of northern Mongolia. e-Mongol accompanied him throughout his journey and organized the logistics and all the meetings necessary for this research.
ALMAS EXPEDITION - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
In the summer of 2006, the e-Mongol team took part in the production of an international documentary for National Geographic television.
The documentary named `Russian Bigfoot` follows English explorer Adam Davies, who investigates tales of the legendary creature named Almas which is believed to live in Russia and the Altai Mountains in Mongolia.
The film was a big hit around the world.
EXPEDITION DEATH WORM
Two years after the previous expedition, another group of English scientists set off with an e-Mongol team to the far southern Mongolian Gobi in May 2005 in search of the mythical Gobi death worm.
ALGHOI KHORKHOI EXPEDITION 2003
The English founders of Extreme expeditions organized an expedition to discover the Gobi killer worm or Alghoi Khorkhoi. An e-Mongol team guided them to the most desolate areas of the Gobi where they were able to gather information and testimonies but no material evidence of the animal.
RECO BORDEAUX - SHANGHAI
The preparation of this extraordinary raid required no less than 2 complete reconnaissances of the route in Mongolia by the e-Mongol teams in order to define and validate the route and the GPS points.
The reconnaissance carried out with the raid organization team at the end of the Mongolian winter will remain an authentic human adventure interspersed with magnificent encounters.
